Prior to the invention of photography, it was botanical illustrators that recorded nature through drawings. Some of the most magnificent nature illustrations are found in old encyclopedias. This antique print is from an old German one, paired with a vintage image of Mater Dolorosa. Hand-framed in beautiful patina copper, it depicts the beauty of our natural world and also our sad ability to destroy it. More photos available upon request.
