Earth Elegies
This beautiful and intricate celestial print was created in 1661 by Andreas Cellarius, called 'The Copernican World.' It is one of the first portraitures of the heavens to illustrate the sun at the center of our solar system. Here I have paired it with these wonderful women as a homage to our planet and its need of healing. Surrounded by vibrant encaustic metallic pigment wax and framed in beautiful patinated copper.
