Earth Elegies
This piece pairs a beautiful 1891 antique insect print from the book, Historia Natural Zoologia with an ancient Byzantine icon. This icon also appeared in Russian iconography during the 11th and 12th centuries. This image is from a vintage holy card and the piece is hand-framed in aged patinated copper.
